DNSCrypt initially is available for Macintosh machines only, but Ulevitch says it eventually will run on other platforms once the open-source code becomes available for the DNS security tool. We will just go back to reading hacker news instead of slogging our way through all that red tape. Open source tools, on the other hand, are always close at hand. Many many thanks to both David and maddog for the time they shared with me in this interview and for the talents that they each share with world; Open Source has a brighter future because of all they do! Maddog: Linus took the rest of 1994 to study the Alpha architecture, finish up V1.2 of the kernel, and plan the change to the source code tree to support multiple hardware architectures. For me, these are emotions that recur again and again when dealing with open-source culture, and when recalling the memories that reading Reagle's article brought to mind. It's a rather long interview but well worth the read. This book is the first one to exclusively deal with code reading as a distinct activity. What strikes me, though, is that I'm almost twice the I think the feeling I had when imagining living in such a place might be akin to how the women in that study felt when they saw a roomful of Star Trek figurines and Mountain Dew Code Red bottles. The book 'Code Reading' has been written by Diomidis Spinellis. I should point out that Firefox generally used fewer resources with extra tabs open while Chrome did better with Flash video content.
